074 HALFDAN AND GROA

Once Halfdan and Hamal accompanied Thor to the north of Sweden, in order to fight the Giants, who now lived there.

While riding through a forest, they spied Groa and her handmaidens, who were on their way to bathe in a lake in the woods.

Halfdan forced Groa to accompany him and made her his wife.

Groa's father was slain in battle with Halfdan.

(This actually takes place before 44 & 67, being the reason why
Groa can't join Egil in the Wolf-Dales.)
