Loki, pregnant with Gullveig's heart, bore into the world the Queen of Disease, named Leikin. She would soon become very busy, with the advent of the horrifying Fimbul-Winter, which directly followed Baldur's death.

(Please note that this Leikin is identical with Snorri's Hel,
the Queen of Hell. The real Hel is of course Urd, the Queen of
the southern part of the Underworld.)
