010 TREASURES OF THE GODS

In Mimir's smithy, where his sons (dwarfs) worked side by side with Ivaldi's sons (elves), many precious treasures were crafted for the Gods.

Mimir's sons made Brisingamen for Freyja, and a magical chess-board for all the Gods.

Ivaldi's sons forged the spear Gungnir for Odin, the ship Skidbladnir for Frey, and for Njörd they crafted an axe which can break any lock and open any door.

Most importantly Ivaldi's sons made for all the Aesir the elixir vitae, which is preserved in Asgard by their sister Idun. Njörd sent his son Frey to be fostered by the sons of Ivaldi.
